About us

After a long love affair with France we bought a holiday home in northern Burgundy in 2007 with the aim of moving out on retirement. However, less than 2 years later this friendly and beautiful part of France had woven its magic, and just after finishing the renovation of our home in England, we decided it was time to pack up & leave our UK lives behind.

In 2009, we started our business with a well-known French property management franchise which allowed us to put our management, language and practical skills to good use.  We built a successful business based firmly on our beliefs in the importance of integrity and of respect for the individual needs of our clients.

In late 2013 we branched out  to start Maison Jardin, striving to develop and strengthen our services to better meet the requirements of current and potential clients in Burgundy.

Richard WILLIAMS

I graduated to France via a convoluted route of builder, Royal Navy Officer, commando helicopter pilot and management consultant.  An MBA led me into working for businesses of all sizes from a mushroom farm to large multi-nationals.  The subsequent corporate life was good, but no match for life in rural France, where I enjoy working with artisans as much as cutting lawns!  My hobbies include cycling and playing my accordion.

Caroline WILLIAMS

I started my professional life as a nurse, before joining the Royal Navy as a Nursing Officer and later, a nurse lecturer.  A variety of appointments saw me work in such exotic locations as Gibraltar, Birmingham and London.  On the way I earned a PhD, but after 20 years it was time for a change. I’m much happier in beautiful Burgundy where I can enjoy my interests of sewing, woodwork, water-colour painting and walking.
